It's much lighter than the Dao Vua - 96 grams lighter to be exact. This cleaver is made of carbon steel so it will rust if left wet, but it is sturdy.

I love this thing — it feels far more agile than its size and it's probably one of the best entry-level carbon steel knives out there. I use it all the time and I think it's well-worth the price of admission.
